Explanation of reporting of academic achievements not related to a course
The ways in which examinations can be reported that have been explained so far all relate to course-related examinations. By linking an examination achievement to a course, the system "knows" which types of achievement are possible there and where they can be categorised in the module structure. Cross-course module examinations are usually also linked to a course.
In the case of examinations without a course reference, this internal structure must first be established. For this reason, you will not find the approval for booking examinations without a course reference in a course, but via the "My results reports" link at the top of the "My courses" page (see also the "My results reports" section). For this reason, you must also specify where an examination without a course reference is to be used when registering it. This is done by categorising the examination achievement in the module structure; a corresponding form will be offered to you during the booking process.
It is not possible for teaching staff, instructors, lectures or secretary's offices to deputise for you when booking examinations without a course reference.

On the My results notifications page, you will find an overview of the examinations you have already registered in addition to the entry point for booking examinations without a course reference:
Under the tab "with course reference by semester", you will find your previous performance registrations sorted by semester. Under the second tab, you will see the examinations that are still open, i.e. not yet registered with the examination office. Click on the last tab "without course reference" to enter a new examination for a specific matriculation number.

Once you have entered the performance data, the next step is to assign the examination performance to a module. This means that you must select the appropriate module for the student from all the modules on the course programme and select the correct type of coursework from this module.
To make it easier for you to assign the examination achievement, the system first searches the student's enrolled degree programmes and tries to find the right module. Initially, only those modules are selected in which the type of coursework you have selected is possible as a cross-course examination according to the module guide. This means that you only see a section of the otherwise very complex subject assignments and can select the appropriate module element.
Select the module element as which the examination you have registered is to be used.
A special case is the assignment of the examination if the student has completed it "outside the subject" for the individual supplement. In this case, you must click on the checkbox "in all degree programmes" and then select the degree programme for which the examination was originally intended. To help you orientate yourself here, take a look at the detailed view of the course in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv), where you can see all subject assignments.
